Show Event
Melanie Cooper 2012
< BackBlessed by a lovely group of guests, fantastic teaching from Mel and Emil and aided by amazing weather without a cloud in the sky, the season got off to the best possible start imaginable.
Retreat goers were treated to a choice of a Mysore style Ashanga or a led class in the morning with many choosing both! Contrasting in the afternoon was a much loved combination of Yin Yoga (poses held softly for a long time, opening up different parts of the body), pranayama (breathing) and Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is a deep form of relaxation and much more, often translated as yogic sleep.
Yoga Nidra is much more than just relaxation as we found out in Helen's interview with Mel. Enjoy Mel's clear and detailed explanation of the practice and its benefits here.
Even in my dreams I couldn't have hoped for anything better. I enjoyed every moment... Thanks a million for making sure we were all fed (in plenty), relaxed, yoga-ed and rejuvenated. Sarah
I was not expecting such a heavenly time. I haven't had such relaxed holidays for a long time. Celine
Everything was great - the
perfect tuition and yoga, the amazing food and the super weather (I know that
bit is slightly beyond your control, but it has rained every day since I got
home and for the 8 days prior to that as well, apparently! - my back garden
looks like a swamp!) Jacquie
