Following on from amazing previous Yoga Rocks Retreats Simon Park will lead Rekindling the Flow a brand new Prana Vinyasa Shiva Rea Teacher Training module co-created by Shiva Rea and himself. See details of the module.
If you’d like to advance your knowledge of asana, deepen your teaching giving it a new twist or fancy a full on retreat, this is one not to miss. This is the first year that Simon is teaching this new module based on what he loves most; fluid and subtly intense asana, therapeutic flows peppered with spicy inversions balanced with grounding, supportive assists. His intuitive and practical knowledge of anatomy inspires new confidence in a complex and sometimes confounding area.
It is not just for teachers - anyone with an established asana practice who wants to learn more will enjoy this week. If you are interested in becoming a Prana Flow teacher then two modules of Shiva Rea's 200 hour teacher training can be completed with other authorised teachers.
Simon’s own advanced asana practice gives an exciting glimpse into where we can go with our bodies. His humble and cheerful approach to life balances this and shows us how to love yoga in such an enthusiastic and expansive way. If you take just a smidgen of this away with you it will have been a worthwhile week.
Simon Park began his Yoga journey in 1995 with Shiva Rea in the World Arts and Cultures Department at UCLA. Fast forward to the present where he was chosen by Yoga Journal as "one of the most influential and gifted, next generation of Yoga teachers". Dubbed "The Flying Nomad" by Shiva, he draws inspiration from road legends such as Keith Richards and Jack Kerouac. Based in Philadelphia, he roams the planet in search of radical nature and revolutionary characters.
